GREAT CENTRAL - MYALL LAKES CRUISEA 6 days / 5 night tour of Port Stephens and the Myall Lakes system on the mid north coast of New South Wales.
DAY 1: The tour commences at Karuah – late afternoon. Check into your accommodation at the Karuah Motor Inn or Riverside Motel. Tonight, a welcome dinner at the nearby RSL Club and meet with your “Spirit II” crew who will be your hosts over the next exciting days. OVERNIGHT KARUAH
DAY 2: Karuah River – Lemon Tree Passage – Nelson Bay – Port Stephens - Tea Gardens & Hawks Nest
Breakfast at a nearby venue. Your cases will be collected by our staff and taken directly to our next accommodation. A short walk to the river where we board our ‘Spirit II’ cruise boat to commence the exciting days ahead exploring the “great lakes”. We first cruise on the Karuah River with its many oyster farms. It is not well known but this area is the largest farming area for the Sydney Rock Oyster. Cross a section of Port Stephens to Lemon Tree Passage. A special lunch at a local waterside restaurant is just one of the many highlights. Following lunch continue towards the heads of Port Stephens. “Spectacular” is possibly the only way to describe this area as we pass close by the popular holiday resorts of Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. Mid-afternoon we enter the Myall River as it opens into the attractive Swan Bay and the holiday resort of Tea Gardens - along with the sister town – Hawks Nest. We pass under the “Singing Bridge” before berthing in the township of Tea Gardens. Tea Gardens is a beautiful holiday town and a delight to visit. A great location! OVERNIGHT TEA GARDENS
DAY 3: Myall River – Bombah Broadwater – Nerong – BulahdelahWe board our vessel.
Throughout the next days we will be surrounded by the beautiful Myall Lakes National Park. Re-enter the Myall river as we farewell Tea Gardens and pass by Brambles Green, Cherry Tree, Engels Reach and Pipers Creek. Picnic lunch enjoyed along the way. This afternoon we pass over the southern waters of the Bombah Broadwater and a deviation to visit pretty Nerong. Mid-afternoon we once again once again enter the Myall River. Travelling over 20 kms upstream we arrive at Bulahdelah – our home for the next two nights. It is only a short transfer (or walk through the town if you wish!) to our accommodation. DAY 4: Myall River – Myall Shores – Two Mile Lake – Boolambayte Lake – Myall Lake
Breakfast and the very short transfer back to our vessel. We continue our exploration of the upper reaches of the Myall River before returning to Bombah Broadwater. Return cruise down the Myall River travel to Bombah point we enjoy lunch at the NRMA Myall Shores Resort. A very picturesque place and a ferry crossing point. Following a relaxing lunch, we cross the three lakes – Two Mile, Boolambayte and Myall where our coach will be waiting at the Neranie boat ramp to transfer us back to our motel in Bulahdelah. Dinner at our motel. OVERNIGHT BULAHDELAH
DAY 5: Pacific Palms - Coomba Park -Wallis Lake – Coolongolook & Wallamba Rivers – Forster.Breakfast and then we transfer to the northern shores of Lake Wallis where our boat and crew will be waiting at Pacific Palms to take us on our final day of exploring this wonderful area. We cruise on the waters of Wallis Lake and enjoy a catered picnic/barbecue at Coomba Park. We will also travel through the canal developments of Foster Keys. During the afternoon we explore sections of the two rivers in this area - the Coolongolook and Wallamba. Our cruise comes to an end as we pass by the popular holiday resort of Toncurry and arrive in Forster. Transfer to the nearby Forster Palms Motel. A special “farewell” to our “Spirit” crew over dinner tonight at the adjoining club. OVERNIGHT FORSTER
DAY 6: Breakfast at the Motel. The tour concludes after breakfast in Forster. A Coach with then transfer passengers back to the departure point in Karuah.

The station at the airport is located at the northern end of the terminal and accessible from the Arrivals level. To use this service, you will need to purchase an Opal Card from the station.
Sydney Central Station – 12.15 pm Board the Central Coast/Newcastle line to Broadmeadow Station. Arrive Broadmeadow Station at approx. 2.55 pm – our staff will be there to meet you and arrange transfers to your accommodation + return to Broadmeadow Station at conclusion of the tour
By Car - Secure parking has been arranged at Karuah.
