ONE-DAY MURRAY RIVER CRUISE:

Cruising along the majestic River Murray between Goolwa & Mannum, South Australia. We offer this cruise in either an upstream or/ downstream format covering the same section of the River Murray. Each cruise will depart from the historic main wharf in Goolwa, South Australia (free parking available) where you will either depart by boat on our luxurious “Spirit of the Murray” cruising upstream or/ depart by coach by road to Mannum and begin your downstream cruise.

Scenic highlights include:

Goolwa wharf, Hindmarsh Island, Clayton, Point Sturt, Lake Alexandrina, lake crossing, Point Malcolm Lighthouse, Pomanda Island, Wellington, Jervois irrigation area, Tailem Bend cliffs, Murray Bridge & Mannum.

Cruise Inclusions:

Morning tea, lunch & afternoon are served during the cruise and the captain provides an informative commentary throughout the day. A Coach transfer is also included either at the beginning of the tour from Goolwa to Mannum to begin the Cruise or/ at the conclusion of the Cruise from Mannum to Goolwa.

Saturday Departures:

Commence in Goolwa at 9am. Meet at the Main Wharf in Goolwa (plenty of free parking) & board the luxurious “Spirit of the Murray” cruising upstream past Clayton, across to Point Sturt & into Lake Alexandrina. Cruise on past Point Malcolm Lighthouse and the Narrows to Pomanda Island and then back into the river up past Wellington, Jervois Irrigation area, the cliffs at Tailem Bend, along picturesque flats and willow lined riverbanks, under the bridges of Murray Bridge & on to Mannum. Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are served during the cruise and the captain provides an informative commentary throughout the day. Spirit of the Murray will dock at Mannum, where a coach will be waiting to transfer you back to the Goolwa Wharf arriving ~4:30-5:00pm.

Tour begins & finishes in Goolwa (Goolwa to Mannum by River, then Mannum to Goolwa by Coach)

Sunday Departures:

Commence in Goolwa at 9am. Meet at the Main Wharf in Goolwa (plenty of free parking) & board a coach for a road tour up to Mannum and then board the luxurious “Spirit of the Murray” cruising downstream under the bridges at Murray Bridge, past Tailem Bend cliffs, under another bridge, along picturesque flats and willow lined riverbanks. Continue down through the Jervois irrigation area, past Wellington through to Pomanda Island and into Lake Alexandrina. Cruise past Point Malcolm Lighthouse and the Narrows, across to Point Sturt and back into the Murray River at Clayton, continuing through to Goolwa. Spirit of the Murray will dock back at the historic Goolwa Wharf at ~4:30-5:00pm.
